- “I have a 21 month old daughter who is allergic to peanuts (as well as many other things!!). I really like the fact that the ingredients do not include any of her allergens… at least the creamy and natural varieties. Besides the fact that it adds a lot of nutrition to her diet, it also makes her feel included. It is hard when she sees others eat things she can’t have. She is really too young to understand it all, but knows her food is different. Thank you for your wonderful product!” -Becky
- “Thank you for the samples you sent the daycare center. The Children really liked it and prefer it to peanut butter. What a great taste it has. We would like to buy some. Thanks Again!&rdquo -Joan Tongen
- “I just wanted to let you know that we tried your SunButter spread sample today, and we ordered some! Thanks for making a product that my peanut-allergic daughter can safely consume. We are ecstatic!! Now she can have sb and j sandwiches for lunch! Hurray!!!! and Thanks!!!” -Karen Sabuda
SunButter: Peanut and Tree-nut Free Natural Sunflower Spread
SunButter offers a great-tasting alternative to peanut butter: sunflower butter. Like peanut butter, sunflower butter is creamy and spreadable. But sunflower butter is healthier and has a great sunflower-seed taste. Made from specially roasted sunflower kernels, roasted to perfection and ground into an easy-to-spread creamy consistency, SunButter is power-packed with a healthy mix of mono and poly unsaturated fats, protein, fiber, minerals, vitamin E, and phytochemicals.
With 1/3 less saturated fat and more iron and fiber than peanut butter, SunButter is clearly a healthier choice—especially since it has no hydrogenated oils and 0% trans fat. Better yet, kids and adults love the great taste!
A Sandwich Spread for Those with Nut Allergies
Over 3 million people are now allergic to peanuts, tree nuts or both. Many families struggle to find tasty, safe solutions to these food allergies. Many schools even have “peanut butter free” zones to protect children with nut allergies from their classmates’ lunches.
SunButter, which is completely peanut-free, tree-nut free, and gluten free. was co-developed by USDAfood scientists partly to address the growing peanut allergy problem. SunButter is made in the northern region of the country where peanuts can’t grow, reducing the risk of cross-contamination. SunButter is processed in a peanut- and tree nut-free facility on equipment that has never processed peanuts or tree nuts. As an added measure of safety, every batch of SunButter is tested for the presence of peanuts using the Neogen ALERT® test which can detect peanut contamination at 5 parts per million.
You can enjoy SunButter with confidence, knowing it won’t cause adverse peanut reactions in those who eat it—or in those who sit by them!
