Lucini Italia supports causes like these:
Common Threads
Common Threads’ mission is to educate children, ages eight to 12, on the importance of nutrition and physical well-being, and to foster an appreciation of cultural diversity through cooking. Through our free, after-school cooking classes, we teach low-income children to cook wholesome and affordable meals because we believe that through our hands-on cooking classes we can help prevent childhood obesity and reverse the trend of generations of non-cookers, while celebrating our cultural differences and the things people all over the world have in common.
Slow Food
Lucini is proud to support Slow Food USA, a nonprofit organization that encourages the preservation of regional farming and cooking customs and the joys of savoring traditional foods shared at the table with family and friends.
As part of the Slow Food Movement, Lucini’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Renée Frigo, works directly with students to establish vegetable gardens at schools throughout the country. In the process, students learn about the relationship between healthy eating and the plants, animals, water, and soils that contribute to the growth of their foods.
Paradise Farms Organic
Lucini believes in supporting local organic farmers and is a proud sponsor of Paradise Farms Dinners in Paradise. We support Gabriele Marewski and Christopher Siragusa in their efforts to put gardens in schools and develop organic education for children.
Racing4Research
Each year Lucini is a sponsor of the Children’s Tumor Foundation Farnbacher Loles Porshe Racing Team at the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona. In addition, Lucini’s Co-Founder, Daniel Graeff, is invited to drive for the team as a qualified race car driver. The Children’s Tumor Foundation and Farnbacher Loles Racing have joined forces to develop a powerful fundraising initiative. Built around the greatest endurance race in North America, the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona, Racing4Research raises money year-round to benefit medical research through corporate sponsorship and individual pledges, both per lap and fixed amount. With more than just winning in mind, the CTF Farnbacher Loles Porsche race team drives 24 hours, over 600 laps to raise awareness and find a cure for neurofibromatosis (NF).
The Children’s Tumor Foundation is a non-profit 501©(3) medical foundation, dedicated to improving the health and well being of individuals and families affected by the neurofibromatoses (NF). The mission of The Children’s Tumor Foundation is to:
- Encourage and support research and the development of treatments and cures for neurofibromatosis types 1 and 2, schwannomatosis and related disorders (hereafter collectively referred to as “NF”)
- Support persons with NF, their families and caregivers by providing thorough, accurate, current and readily accessible information
- Assist in the development of clinical centers, best practices and other patient support mechanisms (but not including direct medical care) to create better access to quality healthcare for affected individuals
- Expand public awareness of NF to promote earlier and accurate diagnoses by the medical community, increase the non-affected population’s understanding of the challenges facing persons with NF, and encourage financial and other forms of support from public and private sources.
