A: We work with a cooperative of family farms throughout Canada in order to source our fresh goat’s milk. The farm families are committed to raising their goats using the most humane methods possible – paying particular care to the diet and nutritional needs of their goats.

Q: How many goats does Canus rely on every day?
A: 40,000!

Q: Are the goats well taken care of?
A: Yes, the farms that supply our milk are inspected regularly to make sure the goats are happy and healthy.

Q: How do you milk the goats?
A: The goats are machine milked. They actually enjoy it. It is a very gentle procedure that relieves the doe from the pressure of a full bag. They are also fed grain and hay as they are milked. It’s really a favorite time of day if you’re a goat.

Q: Does a goat have to be pregnant to give milk?
A: Yes, does (female goats) need to be bred and have kids in order to produce milk.

Q: Why is fresh goat’s milk better than powdered?
A: Fresh goat’s milk retains its skin-nourishing nutrients and vitamins. Products based on powdered or dehydrated milk are heated so high that during the dehydration process the structure of the reconstituted milk is changed, decreasing its effectiveness. That’s why we only use fresh milk in all of our products.

Q: Are Canus products dermatology tested?
